Have you heard about the Military Spouse Career Advancement Initiative?
The Military Spouse Career Advancement Initiative is designed to place the spouses of military members in pay grades E1-5 and O1-3 into portable careers by providing them with education and training in high-growth, high-demand occupations in Information Technology, Education, Health Services, Financial Services and the Construction Trades.
This joint program of the U.S. Departments of Labor and Defense provides Career Advancement Accounts - up to $6,000 over two years for training - for the qualified spouses of those stationed at participating military installations. The San Diego Workforce Partnership will administer the program in conjunction with the Voluntary Education Centers and Family Support Centers of the Navy Metro Complex and Camp Pendleton.
