Hospitality & Visitor Services
There is a common misperception about careers in Hospitality industry –that most careers provide low wages with little room for advancement. However, many positions within this industry offer a livable wage and career ladders to higher paying, higher skill jobs.
By exploring the various career ladders, skill and educational requirements needed to move into more lucrative job positions, the hospitality and visitors industry could work with the educational institutions to develop or enhance programs to help the existing workforce move-up the industry career ladders.
Finally, the work group could partner with the industry associations and key businesses to develop an advertising campaign to encourage individuals to seek careers in this industry. Learn more about the Hospitality & Visitor Services Workforce Alliance Project.
