Healthcare & Medical Services
San Diego’s Healthcare Industry is experiencing a workforce crisis – a shortage of qualified workers for practically every healthcare occupation. To address this problem, the region must first quantify it, by projecting its five-year staffing needs, and then deal with it, by improving and expanding marketing and educational efforts.
Because the workforce crisis facing the Healthcare Industry is so large, it can only be solved by a joint effort of healthcare providers and educators working together. By assessing the industry's five-year staffing needs business and educators can design effective training and recruiting programs. By creating career ladder paths business and educators will have a strong recruiting, retention and marketing tool for the healthcare industry.
