HASD&IC's mission is to support its members by advancing the organization, management and effective delivery of affordable, medically necessary, quality health care services for the communities of San Diego and Imperial counties. The mission of the San Diego RTA is to promote sustainable technology growth in our region by fostering technology development, commercialization and competitiveness. The RTA fulfills this mission by providing four major services.

The RTA:

• Offers commercialization funding for technology R&D companies
• Provides entrepreneurship programs and business acceleration services to emerging tech and biotech firms
• Delivers community technology services to help bridge the "digital divide" and create a more tech savvy workforce
• Performs research on tech-related issues to inform public policymakers and support economic development efforts.

The RTA programs are designed to serve:

• Entrepreneurs and emerging high tech and biotech companies with seed capital, resources and education
• Under-served communities with the tools to achieve computer literacy and bridge the digital divide
• Community leaders with industry research, to help shape public policy and forge effective collaborations

The SDWTC is an international business service organization licensed by the World Trade Center Association in New York. Members and clients of the SDWTC are primarily small, medium sized businesses or organizations committed to world trade.
The SDWTC is a private-public partnership, with both the City of San Diego and the San Diego Unified Port District co-holding the license to operate.
SDWTC Professional staff report to a Board of Directors elected by the membership. San Diego business leaders and Board members chair active committees.
The SDWTC was licensed in 1994, is a 501(C)6 corporation and its affiliate, the World Trade Institute, was founded in 1997 and is a 501(C)3 organization.
