SUBJECT: PAYROLL & INSURANCE SERVICES THROUGH A TEMPORARY STAFFING AGENCY REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

The San Diego Workforce Partnership, Inc., (Workforce Partnership) is soliciting proposals from vendors for cost effective payroll and insurance services through a temporary staffing agency for pre-identified individuals.  The Workforce Partnership is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, chartered by the City of San Diego and County of San Diego to administer federal employment and training funds.  Serving as the region's workforce broker, the Workforce Partnership creates workforce solutions for employers and provides a variety of workforce development services to the region's education and training providers, as well as to local adult and youth residents.

The successful bidder shall provide enrollment, payroll and insurance services to pre-identified students placed in internship positions and pre-identified teachers and teacher leads placed in externship positions through the Life Sciences Summer Institute (Institute). In addition, the successful bidder will provide enrollment, payroll and insurance services to pre-identified instructors who will train the students and teachers through the Institute.

If you download an RFP from the Workforce Partnership's web site or pick one up from the Workforce Partnership’s office, please contact Julie Benedict at 619.228.2900 or julie@workforce.org, to ensure that your name and e-mail address are on the list of bidders known to have received an RFP.

Please direct all questions to Ashley@workforce.org.  Answers to questions received before April 26, 2006, will be posted on the website or by email to all known recipients no later than the close of business April 27, 2006.  Proposals must be received and receipted no later than 3:00 p.m. P.D.T., Monday, May 1, 2006.  Please note that proposals arriving after 3:00 p.m. will not be accepted.
