POLICY BOARD

The San Diego Consortium Policy Board is comprised of two San Diego City Council members, two County Supervisors and a representative of the United Way Board of Directors. The Policy Board appoints the members of the San Diego Workforce Investment Board (WIB) and shares responsibility with the WIB for overseeing funding and policy development under the Workforce Investment Act.

The Policy Board:

• Appoints San Diego Workforce Investment Board (SDWIB) members
• Decides the "what" (public policy objectives such as geographic and population goals; program focus areas; etc.)
• Shares responsibility for overseeing expenditures of local job training funds
