Fifth Year Extension and Modification of
Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Strategic Five-Year Plan for 2009-2010
And the
ARRA (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act) for 2009-2010
San Diego City & San Diego County Local Investment Area Plan
The San Diego Workforce Partnership, Inc., opens the 30-day Public Review and Comment period on the Program Year 2009-2010 modifications to the local Plan for employment and training services on April 6, 2010. These programs are funded by the Department of Labor's Workforce Investment Act (WIA). The Plan is for the City of San Diego and County of San Diego County, the local Workforce Investment Area.
Also included in this public review are the local plan for funding programs under ARRA, and the EDD/WIA Integration Agreement for the One-Stop Career Center Network.
A public hearing on the Plan will be held at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 20, 2010, in the Third Floor Community Room at the address given below.

Comments from the public on the draft plan will be submitted to the Workforce Investment Board when it reviews the draft at its meeting on May 13, 2010, and to the Consortium Policy Board at its meeting on May 21, 2010. The Plan will then be sent to the State. When approved, a copy of the final plan will be posted on Workforce Partnership's website (www.SanDiegoAtWork.com) and be available at the Workforce Partnership's office for continuing review.
